The Legal Aid and Defence Association`s outreach clinic offers free telephone legal advice to low-income individuals. These telephone consultations take place every other Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The clinics focus on civil law issues only for individuals and families. Lawyers inform people about court procedures and forms, advise them on their rights and, in some cases, represent them in court. Clinics are available to residents of Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. If you wish to participate in a clinic, you can contact the LRC on Monday or Tuesday in front of the clinic. The Legal Aid and Defence Association will contact the participant for admission and follow-up. Alongside our neighbours, Lakeshore Legal Aid fights poverty and injustice through advocacy and meaningful and dignified access to the legal system.
